0005 - I wept when I realized there were no more demons left to conquer.

0004- I am the orphan, the one who killed your world

0003- Starting Equipment

0002 - The Cast

I will be using six characters to start this and they all belong to the 13th Demi-Brigade of the French Foreign Legion.  I spoke earlier about pushing the boundaries of reality with this blog and decided to really push it by utilizing a unit from the French Foreign Legion.

  • Sergeant-chef Hildbert Becker - German

  • Sergeant Joey Bass - American

  • Lieutenant Gaspond Macon - French

  • Caporal-chef Tikov Zhukov - Russian

  • Sergeant Griffin Elley - Welsh

  • Sergeant Cecil Bisset - Rhodesian

All  six of these gentlemen have received training in Polish.  Becker, Gaspond, and Zhukov can also speak Russian.   They've been trained as a special unit, all have the observation skill, and all start with specialized equipment.

0001 - The Rules

I will be using the 2.2 edition of Game Designers Workshop's, Twilight: 2000 as well as the Mythic GM Emulator, available here. I will be writing this using Google docs, as it allows me to utilize voice typing.  I find it easier to type using this, as I am usually more free and prolific with words than if I had to type normally.  It doesn't bother me to go back after and fix any errors that occur after voice typing.  I am hopeful to be able to bring in actual scaled maps and have effects put onto them, such as burst radius or other overlays.

0000 - The Beginning

I asked myself, do we need another Twilight 2000 blog?  The answer to that is why not.  I decided to model this blog after Tim Drost's excellent blog, Twilight 2000 solo  http://twilight2000solo.blogspot.com/ and Wayne’s Books equally excellent Twilight 2000 blog, located here:  https://kaliszweb.wordpress.com/.

It is said that plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery and I was surprised to find that Charles Caleb coined this phrase in 1824.  It is actually “imitation is the sincerest of flattery”.  I am trying to get my own Twilight 2000 game off the ground and functioning, as well as grappling with the rules and am hopeful that this blog will help me achieve both, while standing on the shoulders of giants.

I enjoy writing and I may or may not do that well, but I also enjoy lessons in futility.

I have no prior military experience and what I am writing is pure fiction. The boundaries of reality will be pushed with this, but it is a role playing game after all.
